The Perfect Day on Longboat Key

Last week, I enjoyed a self-care day on Longboat Key. A much needed “me day” is always necessary every once in a while. Longboat Key is one of the most quaint, laid back, and relaxing keys out of the three in Sarasota and is the perfect spot for a mini getaway day!

Broadway Street Public Access #100 to Whitney Beach

Following a few hours relaxing in the sun, I headed across Broadway Street for lunch at Whitney’s - this is one of my favorite lunch spots in all of Sarasota! Not only because their food is amazing but because their unique building was once a 1950’s service station that has since transformed into a stylish, mid-century restaurant and bodega. For lunch I enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries and when I tell you they offer one of the best burgers in SRQ, I mean it!

After lunch, I walked west down Broadway to do some shopping at Shore. Shore is not only one of the best restaurants in town, but they also have a boutique at each location filled with unique clothing and accessories for both women and men. This is one of my favorite local spots to eat and shop when I have a special occasion coming up.

After a relaxing day in the sun, a great lunch, and finding the perfect dress for an upcoming wedding I have next month, I headed back to mainland feeling relaxed and ready to get back to it! All in all, this day was perfect, from start to finish. Thank you, Longboat Key!
