My Weekend Getaway in Naples, Florida

This weekend, my partner and I packed our bags and headed to Naples for the weekend. This is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway because it’s only a 2 hours drive and you can jam pack your weekend with fun things to do and see. On today’s blog, I will be recapping my weekend so I can provide the best places to eat, shop, and things to do!

Friday

We decided to splurge and stay at the Inn of 5th Avenue. This spot is beautiful and the location is superior. The rooms and amenities are top notch and include a luxury pool overlooking 5th avenue, complimentary car service anywhere within 2 miles, a 12PM check out time, and a luxury spa. We checked in on Friday evening and headed to Fifth Avenue for dinner and cocktails with friends.

We had dinner at Caffe Milano which was absolutely delicious and the environment was cozy and upscale casual. We shared the Bruschetta Milano as an appetizer and I had a smoked and spicy margarita to start. The margarita was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of smoke and spice, and the bruschetta was fresh, crispy and included creamy homemade burrata cheese. I enjoyed the Pappardelle Al Ragu` for my entree, my partner had the Chicken Parmigiana (he claims it’s the best he’s ever had) and our friend ordered the Steak & Fries. All three entrees were delicious and super fresh tasting. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re a fan of Italian cuisine!

After dinner, we headed down 5th avenue for cocktails at Del Mar. This spot opened in December of 2021 on 5th Avenue and is a very unique restaurant that is inspired by Mediterranean Coastal cuisine with flavors from Greece, southern Spain, Morocco, Italy, and Turkey & their menu is made from scratch. They offer dinner, weekend brunch, dessert, a wonderful bar, and a happy hour menu. I enjoyed the 5th Avenue Margarita & Hibiscus Mule. Both cocktails were incredible!

Saturday

Saturday morning we enjoyed brunch at True Food Kitchen located at the Waterside Shops. I had the strawberry lemon pancakes paired with the blueberry mimosa, and my partner ordered the Egg & Chicken Sausage Sandwhich with the Praire Marie cocktail. The brunch and cocktails were outstanding. I highly recommend stopping here for a weekend brunch.

After brunch, we strolled around Waterside Shops and checked out all of the stores. This is a beautiful mall with high-end designers and an open-air feel. The mall is filled with luxury such as Rolex, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

At the end of our day, we took a stroll over to 2nd ave beach and enjoyed a stunning sunset. The sunsets along the west coast of Florida are absolutely stunning and never get old. The sunset this past Saturday was magical, parking was a breeze, and the beaches in Naples are truly stunning.

We checked out of our hotel on Sunday morning and were home in Sarasota by 11AM and were able to enjoy the rest of our day preparing for the week ahead. That is my favorite part of weekend getaways that are close enough that you can leave in the morning from your destination and be home in time to still prepare for the week ahead. I hope you enjoyed this weekend guide. Comment below if you’ve ever checked out any of these spots! Thank you for reading.
